Once the major scales are mastered and the common chord templates are down, being able to play or find any progression in any key becomes instantaneous. There is nothing to remember but the number sequence. As I demonstrate, I don't 'know' the 36251 in F# but I can play it instantly by combining the major scales and chord types... the result is immediate 'as if' I have memorised it. I also provide the diatonic chords quickly and give a random sequence example, as well as a nice chord type in all keys exercise I always used to do.
